Private Prescriptions

To have your prescription dispensed - simply follow steps 2 and 4 from the NHS Prescriptions section (below). Enter your payment details using the Prescription Registration Form. You can pay by Credit Card, by Cheque (made payable to Newlands Pharmacy) or by Postal Order.

NHS Prescriptions
If you have a National Health Service Prescription simply follow the instructions below:-
  • Fill in & sign the back of your prescription as normal indicating whether you pay for your prescriptions or are exempt from payment. If you don't pay for your prescriptions please send us proof of exemption, which will be returned to you with your dispensed prescription.


  • If you haven't used this service before or there are any changes to your details, please print out and fill in the Prescription Registration Form (follow the links below). This will help our pharmacists to ensure you receive the best possible service and advice.

  • If you pay for your prescriptions, enter your payment details on the Prescription Registration Form. You can pay by Credit Card, or by Cheque (made payable to Newlands Pharmacy or by Postal Order).

    Most NHS treatment is free, however there can be charges for certain items such as prescriptions.
    Prescriptions are charged by the item. From the 1'st April 2009 each item costs £7.40.


  • Send your prescription FREE to us with the Prescription Registration Form.

Prepaid Prescriptions
You could save money by buying a prescription pre-payment certificate (PPC). This will cost you less if you need more than 14 prescription items per year (more than 5 in four months). Proof of the certificate will be required.
