This service is for people who already know that they or a sexual partner have chlamydia.

Register online and fill in the questionnaire. If it is safe to do so, one of our doctors will then send you the appropriate medicine. We will normally dispatch your medicine the next working day. You will need to sign for the medicine when it arrives.

You need to take this medicine twice a day for seven days.

We also offer a separate chlamydia medicine where you would have to take two tablets as a single dose (i.e. both tablets at the same time). Both treatment options are equally effective.
Chlamydia treatment - what are the potential side-effects?
Like any medicine, this antibiotic can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea or an allergic rash. A full list of some of the rarer side-effects will be listed in the leaflet accompanying the medicine. This medicine is known to increase the skin's sensitivity to bright sunlight so may be unsuitable if you are about to go on holiday.

This medicine is effective at treating chlamydia if taken as instructed. Although this medicine is effective, you must not have unprotected sex until seven days after you have finished taking the medicine.

You should not request this medicine if you are allergic to doxycycline. You should not request this medicine without a face to face consultation if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or if you suffer from liver or kidney disease.
